Journal Article Reporting Standards (JARS) are a series of guidelines developed by the American Psychological Association (APA).
The JARS–Qual was developed in 2018, by the APA to mark the first time APA Style has included qualitative standards. The JARS-Qual includes guidelines for manuscripts that report primary qualitative research (JARS-Qual Table 1) and guidelines for manuscripts that report qualitative meta-analyses (JARS-Qual Table 2). Also available is a guide for mixed methods research (JARS-Mixed). Each guide includes reporting recommendations for each section of a research manuscripts.
