Research to develop guidelines aimed to enhance the quality, transparency, and consistency of patient and public involvement (PPI) in research.
This article reports on the revision of the original GRIPP (Guidance for Reporting Involvement of Patients and the Public) checklist. GRIPP2-Long Form (GRIPP2-LF) and GRIPP2-Short Form (GRIPP2-SF) details are included. The authors state that the GRIPP2-LF and GRIPP2-SF represent the first international, evidence based, community consensus informed guidelines for the reporting of PPI in research. The checklists provide key PPI concepts that authors should report in papers, to enhance the overall quality and transparency of the PPI evidence base.
